The legionella bacteria can multiply in water temperatures between 20oC and 45oC, the legionnaire’s thermometer kit allows for monitoring of water temperature to ensure the temperature never falls in an area where legionella growth could increase.
The legionnaire’s thermometer kit can be used to measure standing water temperature and the temperature of the surface of the pipes and tanks which form part of the water system.
The penetration probe included with this thermometer kit should be placed in a minimum water depth of 25mm, the precision ribbon surface probe can be used for taking the temperature of the tanks and pipes, and the PTFE wire probe can be used for hard to reach places or where the other probes may not be appropriate.
