Directions for use
- Select a dressing that will overlap the wound margins by approximately 2 cm and cut to size if required.
- Cleanse and prepare the wound according to local protocol, then place the foam pad directly over the wound with the film side outermost.
- Secure with a suitable retention bandage or tape, ensuring the tape is applied to the edge of the dressing rather than over the wound area.
- Inspect the dressing regularly and change when exudate approaches the dressing edge, the absorbent capacity is reached or local wound care practice indicates.
- To remove, gently lift the dressing from the wound bed. If adherence is suspected, moisten with sterile saline to aid atraumatic removal.
